We started working together on my son's bar mitzvah, which we had to postpone twice because of Covid. Nancy handled everything related to rescheduling and made a stressful situation easy. Rooftop Bat Mitzvah
My husband and I are still pinching ourselves that we were able to give our daughter a festive, warm and celebratory Bat Mitzvah- all with a pandemic lurking in the background—and there is no way we could have done that without Nancy. She is organized, a fantastic problem solver and has a variety of reliable and expert vendors that she brings into the planning process. She is undaunted by tons of moving parts -including this client changing her mind several times! On the day of, Nancy watched over the set up and preparations like a hawk and was the go between with all the vendors- she took that burden off our shoulders and we were able to fully enjoy a spectacular day with our family and friends.

Post COVID Bar Mitzvah
As you can imagine planning a Bar Mitzvah with the ups and downs of COVID was not fun. Shimmer was the only reason I didn't lose my mind. They stayed on top of what needed to be done even as all the rules and dates and everything was changing, which was constantly. Shimmer is the best! Our original wedding was a destination wedding. We finally had our wedding last month after two Covid reschedules AND a change of venues, and through it all they were amazing. They essentially planned THREE weddings for us. They are incredibly detail oriented, very responsive and so easy to work with. I recommend them 10/10 for anyone planning any type of party or event!

Virtual Corporate Holiday Party
Nancy Hoehler of ShimmerNYC was an amazing partner to work with in planning our first ever Zoom holiday party. Our company has 175 employees now working from home all across the country and she helped us organize a seamless and fun event, including a wine and cheese gift box sent to all through Feast on History, a lively and raucous trivia contest, an incredible and interactive mentalist, and a virtual photo booth.
Feedback from our colleagues at every level was excellent and they are still talking about it! People were engaged and participated throughout the two-hour event - even wore fancy costume attire (and pants!). We would highly recommend working with Nancy and would be happy to speak with anyone who would like more details.

Corporate Holiday Party
As the responsible person to plan our corporate holiday party for ~100 individuals, I was looking to fully outsource the process. I engaged SHIMMER NYC to plan and execute our party. With a wide range of professionals coming in from various states, Nancy and team made the process stress-free by handing the entire process from start to finish. Location selection was ideal and this was critical as there was a significant rain storm that evening!! Nancy ensured all dietary matters were considered when suggesting food selection and the décor was fabulous!
When you need to outsource the full event – SHIMMER NYC is the place to go. Once Nancy had a feel for the company and what we were looking for her execution on getting it done was flawless (and within budget!).

NYC Wedding
Nancy just planned our wedding and rehearsal dinner. To say that everything was perfect is an understatement. We had the best venue, unbelievable food, amazing music and incredible flowers. She made it all come together seamlessly.
She managed the logistics, sourced the vendors, made sure the budget was updated and that we paid everyone on time. She kept two very busy professionals on track so that we got everything done that she couldn’t do for us (guest list, dance lessons). In addition, she is friendly and fun and got along with everyone. That said she didn’t take spending our money lightly and wasn’t a pushover, she made sure our interests were always first.
We need to think of another party so we can use her to plan it.

Bar Mitzvah (during Covid)
ShimmerNYC is literally ultimate angel to have in your corner. During Covid, she moved heaven and earth to get my son’s bar mitzvah moved when the world was in total chaos - seemingly out of the blue on March13th. I will never forget that day. She worked her magic and moved countless different entities onto what we expected to be the perfect day in the fall, 2020. And then when the unthinkable happened, she worked miracles yet again to move it into the spring of 2021! Through it all Nancy was pro-active, organized, detail oriented and most of all successful in getting everything I wanted. Several friends that had said “oh why bother with a planner, you can do it on your own” came to me saying how lucky I was to have Nancy on board. Never plan a party or event without her.

Bat Mitzvah
I could not recommend ShimmerNYC more highly as an event planner! I called them when my daughter's Bat Mitzvah was suddenly moved up 5 months asking for her help, and they were cool, calm and confident that we would be able to get everything done and done well. She attended to every little detail, had lots of suggestions and kept me on a schedule so that things didn't pile up at the end. She was there for me whenever I started to get nervous and always calmed me down. She was incredibly responsive and was available whenever I needed her. Having her there day-of took such a load off my mind, as I felt 100% confident that everything would be done well. Any glitch that came up, she quickly handled. She allowed me to be a guest at my party and enjoy myself. And we had a beautiful party that was everything we had wanted. I also heard from the vendors that we used that she was a pleasure to work with.

Destination Party
Shimmer is the best party planner I could ever imagine! Shimmer took care of everything I needed in order to throw my husband a 50th Birthday party in Jamaica. Planning a destination event far away from home is not easy, but Shimmer made it feel like all I had to do was show-up. They managed all the early correspondence with the hotel personnel and all the local vendors and set up a weekend of events that made the party exactly what we wanted it to be. I could enjoy the whole thing because Shimmer was there. They made sure every detail was perfect— And it was! Everything was seamless, and everybody had the time of their lives! Shimmer is excellent at getting what people want and executing it all perfectly.

Bat Mitzvah
Our deep thanks to ShimmerNYC and Nancy for the most glorious bat mitzvah party for our daughter. It was a perfect evening and Shimmer helped us every step of the way. Nancy's patience, advice and knowledge regarding vendor selection, including invitations, venue, room decor, food and cake selection, photography and entertainment, were invaluable. She helped us budget each step of the way, held routine calls with us, and consistently provided updated timelines so that we never missed a step. Most importantly she provided emotional support throughout. By the time the event rolled around, we were 100% prepared and didn't have to think about anything except enjoying ourselves. Our guests were blown away by the event, calling it warm, breathtaking and flawless. Our daughter declared it the most amazing night of her life. What more could we ask!
