Hamptons Summer 2021 Event Inspiration

Sunshine on our faces and a warm breeze against our skin, we are ready for Summer! Summertime events in the Hamptons are iconic and today we’re sharing some fun inspiration to make your Summer 2021 event unforgettable.

Now, let’s take a look at some unexpected design ideas and then let’s make a design just for you!

Palm Springs

We might be on the East Coast, but let’s invite a little West Coast to the party! We are loving warm terracotta and coral hues to set the tone for this style. Think palm leaves, rattan and wicker accents, and light citrus-inspired fare.

• Wicker & Rattan seating can add so much texture and warmth. Whether it’s dining chairs, plate chargers, lounge furniture, you can add a lot of impact with this element and keep the rest of the design simple.

• Incorporate color with florals, food, and drink. We like to think of brighter hues as a fun accent to a neutral backdrop like Crisp white linens, flowing drapery around an open air tent and ticking stripe napkins. Adding in a bold accent really makes a statement but this formula keeps it from being overwhelming.

• Palm leaves are a must! They are fun, graphic, introduce modern lines and really set the tone for this style.

Throw Shade

Let’s talk about coverings and staying safe in the sun! We had fun putting together some inspiration for tents & umbrellas that are ultra-stylish and practical.

• For wedding ceremonies, this is often a set period of time where guests are sitting in one spot and if this is outdoors, it can definitely lead to some discomfort in the bright sun. We love these classic umbrella coverings that can provide some shade and also a very stylish beachy moment.

• Drapery in the breeze is magical. We absolutely swoon over gauzy, white linens and tent walls gently moving in the warm summer wind off the coast. Let’s chat with some tenting experts to make this happen!

• With large elements like tents, you have a literal built in canvas. We couldn’t resist dreaming up a shade-inspired color palette of greys & blues that would look so dreamy under a sail cloth tent!

Pool Side

When you think “Event in the Hamptons”, we can guarantee a pool is not very far away. Poolside events are the epitome of summer entertaining and we love any excuse to incorporate a gorgeous pool into your event design.

• If swimming is not on the agenda, don’t miss the opportunity to include the pool as a design element! We are obsessed with these inspiration images of mixed size balloons floating in the water as a cool, modern moment. And floating florals will always be stunning! Add in some water-safe LED lighting for when the sun goes down and you’ve got a really beautiful centerpiece to your event!

• Don’t be afraid to have a little fun with the design of your summer event. Embrace larger patterns like buffalo check and graphic stripes. Choosing a complimentary color palette like shades of blues & greens paired with crisp summer whites can play off the water beautifully and tie everything together.

• If the pool area is not the focal point of your event, consider making it a dedicated area for lounging and grabbing drinks. We love the idea of a bar surrounded by intimate lounge set-ups for conversation and connecting. A fun drink display with grab and go options would also be fun here.
